Chair Auditions 2013-2014
Everyone will be expected to audition even if you're the only one in your section. This will count as your pass-off grade for the 2nd nine weeks.
Tuesday, November 12- 1:30-3:00- Trombones
Tuesday, November 12- 1:30-3:00- Horns and Oboe
Wednesday, November 13- 1:30-3:00- Flutes
Monday, November 18- 3:05-4:00- Tubas and Baritones
Tuesday, November 19- 1:30-3:00- All Saxophones
Tuesday, November 19- 1:30-3:00- Trumpets
Wednesday, November 20- 1:30-3:00- All Clarinets
TBA Mon, Tues, or Wed, 18, 19, or 20- 1:30-3:00- Percussion
Everyone will audition on the first all-state exercise. Copies of those exercises were made available to the students in September. They have also been on this BlogSpot since August. Recordings are available if you go to the blog titled Alabama All State Band Exercise Podcasts which was posted on October 16.
Percussion will audition on snare, mallets, or timpani. They may choose to audition on one, two, or all three of these instruments. Their all-state exercises will be used as well.
