One change of plans for this week's game at Minor- We will allow the students to visit the concession stand during the 3rd quarter. We try to support other bands in the county when possible. Mortimer Jordan supported our concession stand last week and we want to do the same for other county schools. The boosters will still provide a drink and snack for the students. Students are not required to go to the concession stand or bring money. Those who would like to go to the concession stand will need to bring some money. We will split the band into two groups. One group will go after halftime and the other group will go as soon as the first group returns. By doing this, we will have people in the stands to play during the 3rd quarter.
*Call time is 5:00pm
*Students should wear their band t-shirt and basketball shorts
*Bring or wear black socks
*Bring your band shoes
*The boosters will provide drinks and snacks after halftime so students don't need money
*We should be back to our band room around 10:00-10:20pm.
***Fundraiser*** Boston Butts will be here Thursday afternoon. If you sold, you need to pick those up at the loading dock behind the band room between 4:00 and 5:00pm.
No practice next Monday, September 2.......Labor Day
We will practice on Tuesday (9/3) and Thursday (9/5) next week.

Students- The link at the top of the page will take you to the All-State/District Honor Band requirements for this year. Exercise #1 for each instrument will be our chair audition piece. This is also usually the audition piece for the UAB Honor Band if you apply and are accepted to that group. When you click on your instrument, you will see links to the two exercises and scales on the left. You can print your copies from there.
Parents- Please make sure that your child's band fees are paid as soon as possible. Also, contact Loni Majors at cgmommajors@bellsouth.net if you need to schedule your concession stand shifts. You can contact Lee Majors at sixmillion@bellsouth.net if you have not signed up for a job for the band jamboree.
