Call time is 5:45pm. If students are driving, they need to be here by 5:30 to park in the lot near the softball field. It is important that they park in the lot just outside the fence of the softball field or in the spaces nearest Mt. Olive where their car will be facing Mt. Olive Road. Other spaces in the lot are reserved parking.
*Students should wear their band t-shirt and basketball shorts
*Bring or wear black socks
*Bring or wear band shoes
*Bring your black gloves
*The boosters will provide drinks and snacks after halftime so students do not need money
Important dates to remember:
Saturday, September 28- Band Jamboree at Gardendale- Time approx. 4pm-10pm
Saturday, October 12- Contest at Pinson- Time approx. 12:00pm-10:00pm
Saturday, October 19- Contest at Hayden- Time approx. 12:00pm-10:00pm
I will have definite times as we get closer to each event.
We will practice today after school until 4:45 and we will be outside tomorrow during the last block of the day. Please make sure your child has a drink and proper shoes for practice.
Next week we will be back on a regular practice schedule on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday after school.
Next week's game will be at Vestavia.
Below are some links for college band days if students are interested in participating. These are not required. Students would go rehearse then perform at a game with the college band if they participate. This is not an event where we take students. Parents would be responsible for this.
